Bariatric Pre-Surgical Psychological Evaluations-
Kelly V. Karjoo, PsyD, CMNCS, CIMHP

Therapist With Clipboard

Dr. Karjoo has been conducting Pre-Surgical Evaluations for Bariatric Surgery since 2015. This evaluation is essential for ensuring that individuals considering bariatric surgery are mentally and emotionally prepared for the life-changing procedure. The assessment helps identify any psychological barriers that might impact surgical safety or hinder positive post-operative adjustment. It is designed to ensure that patients are ready for the significant challenges and changes associated with bariatric surgery.

The Bariatric Pre-Surgical Psychological Evaluation is a mandatory assessment required before bariatric surgery can be scheduled. Your doctor may have a psychologist on their team to conduct this evaluation, but if not, I am available to assist you through this important process.

My assessments are conducted via telehealth, and self-assessment materials will be mailed to you for completion before your hour-long evaluation session.
